Sam Evans – Performer
Sam Evans is a Brisbane-based dance artist, specialising in popping, robotics, and animation, and while working as a professional dancer has become adept in many styles of dance, including but not limited to commercial choreography, hip-hop, breaking, partner work, acrobatics and jazz. Sam has just completed a contract with the internationally renowned “Strut and Fret” as a specialty act in their hit show “Blanc de Blanc”. He has also recently developed a one man show in conjunction with Metro Arts titled “This Time it’s Personal”, using his own unique skill sets to explore our external characters and internal personas. As well as a soloist Sam has been in many ensemble productions including “COLLISION” by Casus Creations and “MINDED” by Elements Collective. While not contracted with shows , Sam works regularly as a performer around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, both at Dreamworld as a host/actor/dancer and as an independent contractor for corporate events and gig work. Despite only starting his dance journey at the age of 17, Sam quickly turned dance into a career, performing nationally and internationally with his crew Swagamama, and as a founding member of Equals Dance crew, he was an Australia’s Got Talent grand finalist in 2016. As a freestyle dancer first, Sam utilises his musicality, concepts, and movement to tell a story and engage an audience in response to real-time stimulus. Not taking himself too seriously as he believes entertainment (especially through laughter) always comes first.
Ashleigh Voss – Performer
Technically trained, Ashleigh Voss has been working with reputable Australian choreographers such as Kate Wormald for the Lord Mayor Christmas Carols. Anna Johnston for multiple corporate events around Queensland. Jacquline-lee Elliot for NRL Commercial/hip hop entertainment and Bodie Fullerton for his “Pose. React. Obsession” Show.
Ashleigh Voss was trained in Adelaide, South Australia until the age of eighteen, when she was accepted into full-time dance with Global Dance Pro on the Gold Coast which included training in LA. Ashleigh was also trained by reputable G Madison in private one-on-one sessions. Dance Force Oz offered Ashleigh a scholarship to pursue a pre-professional year training full time dance. Ashleigh’s training is based on old school Jazz technique, Tap and Ballet, which has extended to Commercial Heels, Hip Hop and Latin styles such as Rumba, Salsa and Samba.
Ashleigh is a versatile performer who has worked for P&O as a Guest Entertainer in the ‘Tina Turner Tribute Show’ featuring Prinnie Stevens, Village road Shows Movie World, Fluffy’s Drag Queen residential dancer, commercial dancer for Kid Inks opening act Australian tour and NBA’s Adelaides 36’ers performer. Acting work such as Gold Coast’s International Airport TV commercial, dance captain and actor in ‘Rise of Billy Jone’s” movie, and Disney look alike characters singing/acting shows for My Royal Party. Ashleigh is also passionate about Mental Health within the Creative Arts industry by currently studying a Diploma in Counselling, in hoping to promote healthy mindsets and to support artists in the future. Special skills include Hula Hooping, Face painting, ballon twisting and Singing. Ashleigh Voss is a passionate performer, dedicated and motivated to her art.
Maryanne Nucifora – Choreographer
Maryanne Nucifora is a passionate & professional dancer, choreographer and teacher. She has been working creatively in Australia and abroad for the past 13 years. Maryanne has worked with highly established companies overseas as well as several entertainment companies locally in Australia. Some of her larger professional credits include: TAG LIVE UK (Rehearsal Director), African Beach Resort – Italy (Choreographer & Show. Director), Norwegian Cruise Lines (Dancer), Pink Matter Entertainment (Dancer), Dubai Parks & Resorts (Dancer & Performance Captain), Universal Studios Singapore (Performer), ‘Burlesque’ Cabaret show – Surfers Paradise (Choreographer & Creative Director), Carter Entertainment (Choreographer) & Lynch & Paterson’s ‘Wizard of Oz’ (Choreographer). Maryanne teaches and choreograph’s for various full-time performing arts colleges around Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast. Since returning home, she has been focusing on producing more opportunities & work for QLD artists.
