Centered around the experiences of a young non-binary artist and their journey to self discovery,
The Sad Clown follows different characters and the personalities they create to survive and “find” themselves.
Using dance to explore and highlight the constant battle between the internal and external, this piece aims to highlight just how “out of hand” attempting to conform to social standards can get. It also touches on the importance of finding, harnessing and celebrating the ever existing synergy between feminine and masculine energy.
Special Notes
Please be aware that this is a creative development showing of early concept ideas. There will be approximately 20 - 30minutes of performance content, followed by an artist talk and discussion.
