NORMAN PARK SUBSTATION

In 2007 Metro Arts launched its satellite facility in Norman Park which provides much needed additional and affordable artist studios. The Norman Park Substation No. 9 is a partnership between Metro Arts, Brisbane City Council and Arts Queensland.

The facility provides ongoing value to Metro Arts' Artistic Programs and Biz Arts MAkers Program, acting as an important secondary site for Metro Arts' activities and programs.

The site was once a disused electricity substation but is now destined to be a creative setting for artists to continue developing and testing new work.
