MATT CORNELL

MATT CORNELL

Matt Cornell is based in the Asia-Pacific region and grew up in Darwin, on Larrakia land. He works through dance, choreography, sound, photography, and discussion to deconstruct and question the arbitrary configuration of systems (especially cultural), and is passionate about overcoming cognitive bias… to ask better questions… to dissolve malignant social narratives.

Matt believes in the power of non-spoken experience and the far reaching consequences of love.

Matt is a positive-nihilist, liberated by our grand pointlessness while simultaneously indulging in the self-generated significance of empathy and humanity.

Matt has also toured internationally, won awards and received grants, residencies and scholarships.
