Kyle Weise is a writer and curator and is currently a PhD candidate in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. Together with Simone Hine, he is Co-founder and Co-Director of Screen Space, a not-for-profit gallery that opened in Melbourne in 2010. Screen Space is a dedicated to the moving image, reflecting Weise’s critical and curatorial interest in the analysis of the moving image, across both art and cinema. He has curated or co-curated exhibitions in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Miami and Milan, and has written widely about contemporary Australian art, including articles in Eyeline, Dissect and Un Magazine. Weise has presented his research on visual culture at academic conferences in Turkey, UK, USA and New Zealand.
