DAVID BURTON

David Burton is a theatre-maker, writer, podcaster, and general man about town from Brisbane. David’s work often focusses on the intersection between art and community. In 2013, he wrote the musical Boomtown for Queensland Music Festival, encompassing a cast of 300 local singers, dancers, and actors. In the same year, David worked with the Queensland Theatre Company’s Senior Youth Ensemble he wrote Orbit in partnership with twenty young people. Previously David wrote April’s Fool, a verbatim play about the true death of a Toowoomba teenager, who passed due to illicit drug use. David is also a teacher and nerd. He co-hosts the podcast House of Nerd.
