What were the poets doing in the Tower of Babel? Were they silenced? Did words, themselves, suddenly and catastrophically fail to fulfill their role in human communication? Did people simply stop listening?
Tower of Babel is a multi-lingual, poetic, political creative development. Scattered artists, with scattered light, and scattered sound tell an ancient and scattered story about fear – a fear of a united humanity and a fear of scattering.
This creative development will focus on listening, writing and gathering. The process of this gathering will be a major focus of our exploration and experimentation during this creative development.
