EXHIBITION/ 7 – 24 June 2017
VENUE / Gallery 2, Level 2, Metro Arts – 109 Edward Street*
ARTIST / Torin Francis
Free event, all welcome.
By investigating the material properties of weather balloons, Lapsed considers how their intrinsic and potential forms can complicate our sense of time. The exhibition rejects definitive static forms, installing the balloons in both inflated and deflated states, to create an ‘in-between’ experience, playfully reflecting on the transitory nature of time.
Lapsed is presented by our 2017 Artist Run Initiative in Residence, Cut Thumb Laundry
