Sari T.M. Kivinen is an artist based in Helsinki (Finland) and Brisbane (Australia). Her practice is focused on documenting and interpreting real and imagined stories around themes of migration, collective narrative and social roles. Sari has a keen interest in exploring how different people present their own story of who they are and where they come from. Using both verbal and non verbal approaches Sari‘s work often combines forms of live art, video, social participation, drawing and installation. Sari has attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Western Sydney (2004) and a Masters degree in Live Art and Performance Studies at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki (2011) and has presented her work extensively in Australia and across Europe.
