M’ck McKeague is a Brisbane-based performance maker and designer focused on creating work that highlights the overlooked and the under-represented. Preoccupied by live, immersive contexts, M’ck strives to make work that excites the senses and invites audiences to engage critically with themselves and their surroundings.
M’ck primarily makes theatre in non-traditional spaces and site-specific performance installations, seeking to dismantle traditional theatre etiquette and replace it with moments of genuine human connection. By creating opportunities for audiences to touch, taste and smell performances, M’ck uses multi-sensory performance design to create relationships with audiences that can only occur in live contexts.
M’ck is committed to the development of collaborative practices that actively embrace diversity and disrupt privilege. Working across cultures, genders and abilities, M’ck uses the arts as a platform for breaking down barriers and strengthening transcultural friendships
