Currently based between Brisbane and Lima, Kiah Reading’s work traverses performance and experience making, investigating the intersection of people’s desires, behaviours, and their willingness to mediate their social systems. By adopting default media tools and interfaces, his practice often critiques institutional frameworks as they are expressed through language, image and physical actions. Kiah is motivated by a strong will to open the discussion of our personal idiosyncrasies as political beings and speculations on the current contemporary desire for the economisation of non-economical phenomena (such as passion, creativity and communication).
